Getting the best tenant for your property requires more than just property marketing. It requires diligence by your managing agent. As the Property Manager and Licensee of Newcastle Property Investors you will deal with me personally at all times.

I take the time to conduct extensive screening on all applications submitted for a property. The screening process goes beyond looking at the potential tenants application forms. What looks good on paper isn’t always accurate. I conduct screening of each reference supplied in the application, from property managers, private landlords, employers to personal references.

I screen these references by contacting and questioning all nominated referees to ensure what is written in the application can be proven and that they were not only an A grade tenant at their previous rental but also a person of good character. I interview the applicant’s employer to ensure they are employed and paid as they have said in their application, identify their job position, contract terms and overall work ethic. I also verify the details of their application by comparing it to their online presence. There are often discrepancies between a tenant application and what they are actually like in real life.

It is an extensive but worthwhile process. It is a process that has proven to be critical in identifying and securing the prefect tenants for my landlords and ensuring their property is looked after.
