Quality versus Quantity in Property Management
- Posted By Courtney Simpson
HOW MANY PROPERTIES DOES YOUR AGENCY MANAGE?
This is a question that each and every landlord or real estate investor should ask themselves before deciding on what agency they chose to manage their investment.
Your managing agent may have hundreds of residential properties on their books while employing a limited number of Qualified, Licensed Property Managers to manage those properties.
Is there any wonder why some clients and their properties fall through the cracks. The value of an investment property to Mum and Dad investors is much more significant than most Agents will give credit. A residential property investment is the most common form of investment for every day Aussies and this investment needs to be treated with care and respect. Not just a source of income for Real Estate Agents through management fees.
Ask yourself these questions;
If you are one of hundreds of properties managed by a single agent, are you getting the service your investment deserves?
Do you personally know your property manager?
Does your property manager know you?
Can you easily contact and speak with your property manager when you need to?
Do you speak with the same property manager about leasing, marketing, maintenance or financial matters or do you need to speak with different departments or representatives?
Do you have communication issues with your property manager?
If the answers to these questions are important to you, you will be happy to know there is a solution. It is time to make a change for the better. A quality Agent is one that will respect and care for your investment. Likely this is someone that has their own investment properties. That Agent will be the Licensee, the person that answers the phone, the person that is available to deal with all your investment property needs.
Make sure you leave the most significant investment you will make in your life to an Agent that puts Quality before Quantity!
